Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous usage statistics. GA4 helps us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. We have configured GA4 with privacy-focused settings:

• IP anonymization is enabled
• Advertising features are disabled
• Data sharing with Google is minimized

If you prefer not to be tracked, you can use a browser extension like Google Analytics Opt-out or enable "Do Not Track" in your browser settings.

Geolocation

When you click "Use my location," your browser asks for permission to share your location. This location data is:

• Used only to find nearby skateshops
• Processed entirely in your browser
• Never stored on our servers
• Never sent to analytics or third parties

Feedback Forms

If you submit a shop suggestion or closure report, the information you provide is sent to Formspree for processing. Email addresses are optional and only used if we need to follow up on your submission.

Cookies

Google Analytics may set cookies to distinguish unique users and throttle request rates. These are first-party cookies and are not used for advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Third-Party Services

Our site uses the following third-party services:

• Google Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim: Address geocoding (converting addresses to coordinates)
• Leaflet / OpenStreetMap: Map display
• Formspree: Form submission handling

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default settings (14 months). We do not maintain any separate database of user information.
